An interesting underslung traction elevator that shows off its fancy design thanks to a glass cab and hoistway enclosure. Although it is not clear from the video, the elevator also features a seismic emergency recall mode, which is mostly irrelevant since the elevator is only two stories tall. A seismic sensor detects earthquakes, and if detected, stops the cab at the closest landing floor and instructs passengers to exit immediately. The cab will not move until the controller is reset by a mechanic. However since this elevator only services two floors, it would simply take a passenger to their destination and then shut down.
